This exclusive event will feature a tour of glass artist Newt Grover’s unique outdoor studio, a glass blowing show by the artist himself, as well as delicious catered food and drink.Guests will be treated to exciting displays of molten glass, technique demonstrations used to create amazing glass sculpture, and personal insight into Newt’s many nature-inspired works of art–not to mention a whole lot of fun. Newt Grover’s art journey began during high school when an art teacher recognized his potential. After an initial career as a self-taught master jeweler, he began seeking new challenges in neon sign-making. Influenced by the art glass movement, Newt taught himself how to blow glass. A skilled metalworker, he built his own studio and equipment, and has since become a masterful artist in glass. According to Newt, “Everything I have ever done in my life has led me to this point–to glassblowing.” Newt’s art has been commissioned and collected worldwide. Locally, his work can be seen at the Wrigley Mansion, as well as premiere restaurants including Mastro’s in Scottsdale, Malee’s in Phoenix, and Bobby’s at Kierland. Limit 20.
